Department of Public Administration is one of the foremost departments of Prince Abubakar Audu University domiciled in the Faculty of Management Sciences. It is a department committed to producing intellectually sound administrators and scholars of world class repute that would raise the standards of public administration/policy debates and decisions. To this end, it envisions inclusively built public governance efforts powered by collective wisdom, brave leadership and rigorous actions. The Department offers bachelor and postgraduate programs leading to award of BSc, PGDPA, MPA, MSc and PhD degrees.

In keeping with the university’s mission, these programmes are designed to promote advanced training and research in Public Administration. The programmes aim at training academics and practicing administrators who intend to pursue or are pursuing careers in research, teaching and public service; providing general exposure to public administration for non-public administration graduates aspiring to pursue administrative careers; equipping the graduates with the modern techniques for the practice of public administration; preparing graduates for higher degree in public administration; and equipping graduates with managerial and administrative tools for self-employment..
